    Does anyone know if banks would give a mortgage to someone who has a 5 year visa , but not ILR? I'm guessing not as you could have to leave the country at the end of the visa term

    since your question is about getting a mortgage, why not ask it on the mortgage board

    I think there are some banks that would lend. Check with a mortgage broker. They would help you get one.
