Caravan type sofa bed? 3rd Oct 17 at 11:33 AM
I need a good quality sofa bed but all the ones I've looked at so far the sofa is way too big or they are those horrible solid fabric fold out type. On holiday the fold out bed in the caravan was metal with a mattress which unfolded when pulled out from inside the lounge seat. Is it possible to buy such a thing for a house?

What size is "way too big". Have you googled "metal action sofa bed".

Thanks for suggestions, had a look but these are not suitable. The sofa sticks out into room too much, the mattresses are much too thin and look too small and not very sturdy. The caravan one was a really good quality, it really felt like being on a bed with much thicker quality mattress and was a proper height from the floor like a bed.

Try looking at 'day beds' to see if those might fit the bill.

Thanks, still can't find anything suitable. Bizarre that such a good quality, neat and compact, fold up mattress bed can't be found for a house but exists for a caravan. Basically it's like a bench, you remove the sitting and back cushions, lift and pull out the bed, much smaller than a sofa stuck in the room. Thanks anyway for suggestions.
