    ~Make upto £10 a day in October 2017 ~ everybody most welcome 30th Sep 17 at 10:36 PM
    Hello and welcome everybody

This is the 122nd month of this challenge, which was first started by Batgirl, in September 2007. A link here to the original thread as I am sure some of you are interested to read where it all began.

Thanks to Batgirl for starting it, lynnejk and ALL posters, for helping us to keep the thread going. Thanks to previous challengers who used to run this thread too, Rawdinosaur, Emmaglet, Nat21luv, Monkeynut, Sweetpeas, Purpleroses, JesaRose, MizMir.

I have decided to rename this challenge as reading posts, it seems to put people off thinking they HAVE TO make £10 a day.

    You don't.

The original purpose of this challenge was to help people to try and make an extra £10 a day on top of their normal income to help things along. Ie paying off debt, making savings, paying for holidays, overpaying mortgages etc.

That is exactly what this challenge is about, attempting to make extra income on top of your normal income to help you wherever you need it.

People start the challenge by setting a goal of £1 a day. Then when they find they are smashing this regularly, they up it to £5 a day. Some of us gluttons for punishment go for £10 a day. It really is entirely upto you. We only ask you to post what your goal is to help you keep motivated. Some days you make more and some days you make less, but aim for extra at the end of the month.

The idea is that everyone posts how they are making extra money and these shared ideas help all of us to learn new ways to help cut debt or earn/save money.

    What cannot be added:

    Wages from your main job

    What can be added:

    Overtime
    Income from a second job
    Daily clicks
    Interest
    Vouchers
    Mystery shopping
    And much, much more.

This board moves pretty quickly, so be sure to subscribe and read it regularly. Below are some ideas to get you started and a great place to read when you're in need of inspiration.

    Sell your old books/DVDs/CDs/games here:

Amazon.co.uk, play.com, webuybooks, zapper, CEX, MusicMagpie, and a few more too

Ebay - a place to sell anything and everything. (You will be suprised at what sells!)

Gumtree, Preloved, cquot, ebid, craigslist, vivastreet, netmums.com, trade-it , Friday ad, priceminster - these are all places you can sell items too.

Survey sites - mysurvey and pinecone, prolific academic tend to be the best but there are many more it really depends on you finding the ones that work best for you - toluna, harris poll, valued opinions etc

Join cashback sites like Topcashback and Quidco - type in surveys in the search engine and some will pay you to join up with them.

Mobile phone to recycle? Try http://mobilevaluer.com/ but also check other selling sites like ebay, Facebook selling, gumtree, etc.

etsy and folksy - If you enjoy making crafts why not have a go at selling them on etsy or folksy. They've been getting increasingly busier each year.

Trying to find other ways to make money? Check out the Boost Your Income board. It is full of ideas, including survey companies and product testing.

Want to help someone else out? Sign up through their referral on the referral board, and leave yours, so someone else can do the same for you.

Keep reading for lots more ideas on how to make more money each month.

This month's challenge is to try and make £310 (or any amount of course!).
lynnejk is assisting me and will create the challengers list and update it.

She will also be answering any questions she can help with and here for general advice. Having been a challenger for a while, she knows her stuff. Thank you lynnejk for your help.

Good luck everybody. Remember to post any questions or comments that you have, and let's go on encouraging each other throughout this month.
    Make £10 a day September 2017 £81.68.
    August 2017 £390.47

Has anyone used Ipsos Mediacell+ app? I got the chance to join thro a swagbucks survey but I'm a little wary! I know Ipsos as a company and have done surveys for them before but never installed anything. The remuneration seems good for little work tho! Thanks x

I feel like I am doing so rubbish at this!

I went on a mystery shop, took a friend with me, had a nice meal, lost the receipt so can't get paid!

I sold a lamp on Facebook, the woman never turned up.

Sold a heater on Facebook, the woman is ignoring me

I have so much stuff to sell- think I need to shut up and get on with it!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

I feel like I have lots of irons in the fire right now. Have listed a few more things on the bay and then also started a little bit of matched betting again on the side as I realised I am going to need every bit of help I can get in order to make enough to do my house projects next year. Still concentrating on sales though as the number one activity and doing anything else on the side. I have about 50 items on the bay right now..

OK.. so from the last couple of days:
    eBay sale £1.71 after fees
Circle win (thanks to cufc_mike) £1.56
    Matched betting £7.48
    Valued opinion - vouchers £45

Back from Wales safe and sound late last night, Haven't had any time to read all the posts I missed when I was away yet though. Congratulations/commiserations to all who need them.

Apart from £7 from postal survey I've nothing else to report since I was here last

Lots of serious RL issues to sort out this next few weeks so money making is going to have to take a back seat. Not enough hours in the day and to be honest I can't be bothered to make the effort for a few pence here and there at the moment. I know that goes against my mantra of 'every little helps' but that's how it is just now.

I'm switching my MSE notifications off as my inbox is always full of them but I'll try to drop in from time to time and read how you're all getting on. I expect you'll do brilliantly as always

    And we're off!

£5 payout from vypr yesterday. Already more than last month

Queen Jess I hardly ever get paid pulses on One pulse, and I'm on level 12. There were loads earlier in the year but very few over the last few months.

I signed up for citizen me last month and have done some surveys. But whenever I try to do a paid one, it says I have to verify my PayPal account first, then kicks me out Any ideas on how I do this? I've checked my email and my PayPal account for messages regarding verification but nothing has come through. I've also contacted citizen me but they haven't got back to me yet. I can't help but think I'm missing something!

It's not just problems directly related to our loss but other issues that have surfaced, as they tend to do at such times.

I just need time to focus on the important stuff. I get too bogged down by trying to attempt too much at once, my brain is constantly in overdrive. I feel I need some breathing space and, selfishly, a little 'me' time.

Thanks everyone who gave me a bit of a pep talk!

I've added £28 from Facebook sales and bank interest. 9p from Qmee searches.

I've added a few things on eBay and on facebook. I sold an eyeshadow and some Xmas lights straightaway.
Still got loads to sort but I will get there!
I have piles of stuff that has been sorted for

    Food bank
    Hospice charity shop (crockery)
Donation to dogs' rescue centre (bedding)
    Cash for Clothes
    Facebook
    eBay
Car boot sale - not made it again this morning.

Awaiting payments totalling a combined £45 from Zeek and webuybooks. Waiting for £20 payment from Facebook sales and £40 from mystery shopping.

Phew - getting back on it when that money comes in, I will be nearly half way to my target. Boom.

Really would like this clutter gone soon.

Quick update from me, not much to report, used a £5 voucher today on my food shop and won £5 worth of nectar points, I have included this but if I'm wrong to do that then please let me know I'm still very new to this. I have £18.85 in my PA account but it hasn't all cleared yet, as soon as it has then I will count that too. Total so far £76.84.

Just added £7 for another eBay sale. I'm selling make up and stuff like that. Unopened and hanging round my bathroom cupboard. Unwrapped handcream or moisturiser that I've been given but never used.
