Amazing that I have got a HSBC Advanced account 30th Sep 17 at 2:21 PM
Saw the MSE weekly email this week.

So I thought that I would apply for an advanced account again to get £150 bonus for switching to them. When I applied a few months ago, my application was rejected.

Got a bank card this morning in the post so I am assuming that my app has been successful this time. Just wonderful.

Already created two d/debits (via my Tescos accounts) on my Nwide flexaccount, which I will be switching over to HSBC. Just got £100 in my Nwide account.

Very simple and easy to do.

Just have wait a few days before I start the switch.

can someone please definitely confirm weather only 2 standing orders would suffice for the bonus or does it definitely need to be direct debits?

On a side note, HSBC will be releasing their new mobile banking app next week.

I have never done any of this current account switching, but out of curiosity, is the money received considered income for your tax return? Would one declare it as untaxed interest?
