Debt Free By 2020 18th Sep 17 at 12:10 AM
Hi everyone, as the title says I want to be debt free by 2020!

I'm fairly lucky in that the majority of my debt is on 0% deals, and direct debits are already set up to make sure they are cleared by the time the promotional period is finished. I just need to increase the MBNA card to £75.00 per month but I can't do that until this month's direct debit has gone out - slight miscalculation when I set up the DD originally! The Aqua card is not 0% unfortunately but there is only £190.00 odd on this card and I have set up a DD so the last payment will be made in November.

The debts and repayment dates are set out in my signature and will be updated as I go along. I do also have a Debenhams card which I have not listed in my signature. This is a card I will be keeping, the intention being to use it for everyday spending and then clear in full at the end of the month.

Anyway enough rambling from me, I hope to meet you all along the journey. Any hints and tips will be greatly received

How good does it feel having one debt gone forever? Well done! For surveys my main site is Swagbucks, haven't had a huge win although I do think they have something on there where you can win bigger prizes. There seems to be more to do on there than on other sites I've found. Prolific Academic has also been recomended but I'm yet to sign up to that one. So far I'm up about £170 in about 4 months thanks to Swagbucks.

Rang Argos to cancel my account today, not as painful as I thought it would be, they didn't try to persuade me to keep it which I was expecting! Seeing one debt crossed through on my signature feels good

Come the end of November I will be able to cross another one off too
