Move from Sky to EE - retain phone numbner and e-mail address 15th Sep 17 at 5:16 PM
I am planning to move ISPs from Sky to EE for phone and broadband.

However, I have two concerns and would be grateful for any feedback.

I have heard Sky lock in phone numbers and I may not be able to retain my phone number. That would be a problem.

Secondly, could I use e-mail fetching? I have several e-mail addresses and want to use an e-mail client to check all my addresses in one go. That is vital.

    Any feedback on these points?

You need to know the source of your phone number - if it belongs to Sky you can probably retain it for an on-site transfer, but if you move it will be repatriated to the original network. If you cancel their BB/Email, you will lose your access to any sky.com address - the time to cessation can vary but with no active account, it will be sooner than you would imagine. Best to email contacts that use it, then switch to a non-service linked email account.

Yes its normal and set up in your email client .
But as said you are likely to lose your Sky email at some point as you don't own it .
