    I wouldn't use either for pure saving. If you are buying your first house then it's a simple choice of whether it's going to be in the next year, or not. If it is then HTB would be the one to go for. If not, then a LISA is the better option.
    However, if you end up not buying a house, the LISA does come with penalties for withdrawing the cash, before you are 60. So keep that in mind.

    If you're after a house then spreading the cash across the top, interest paying, current accounts is the way to go.
