    Hi,

I recently registered to make a claim.

I did mention that I want to look for a part time job instead of full time due to child care but on my commitment paper it says I'm available to work for any jobs up to 40 hours/week! When I asked my coach about it she said it's fine (it's just a standard statement).

I'm not gonna go just for any job, I don't want the job centre to think I'm not trying hard enough. Am I worry too much?

If you are only available for part time work and only between certain hours then thats what it should say.

If you have signed to say you can do 40 hours at on any day at any time and then you refuse to apply or take a job you can be sanctioned

How do I fix this? I guess I need to mention it on my next visit?

Is your partner still only working 20 hours a week? There shouldn't be a reason for you to both only work part time.

The JCP will allow you a grace period where you can limit your job search. After that period they will expect that you are gonna go just for any job.
