Hand written ticket 11th Sep 17 at 11:21 AM
    Hi
Just a quick question. The parking machine wasn't working so we had to go into a caf! to pay and get our ticket. We gave the lady £2.50 for 2 hours and all she wrote on the ticket was EXP 2:30 and PAID £2.50... as it turns out we were actually back late at 3:00pm so yes over the time by 30 minutes but she didn't right an issue time could we say she issued at 1:30pm so technically expired at 3:30pm?...

Everyone is politely asked to read the newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum before starting a new thread.

Read up there on how to deal with this and come back for advice if you have any questions

Obviously no-one is going to advise on lying over the issue time!

Thank you I did read the newbies FAQ before I started the thread

I really just wanted to know whether people thought that a hand written ticket was any different to a machine issued ticket and more open to human error

Stick with the tried and tested route on here al you won't pay the scum a penny.

UKPC are known liars and have been barred by the DVLA in the past too for doctoring photos multiple times but they still keep going.

It's highly possible the Cafe' that issued the ticket also issued the PCN, UKPC work on incentivised profit centres so anything goes in their scummy world of money making.

Was there signage in the car park - do you have photographs, if not are you near enough to get some?

Was the ticket the lady completed a UKPC printed pro forma where the the lady filled in the gaps, or was it a plain piece of paper, with simply handwritten details?

Have UKPC provided photos of the vehicle with the handwritten ticket and times clearly showing? Are the photos timestamped?

We cannot provide you with a silver bullet to get you out of this. You have to be in for the long run, and need to involve yourself in research and work for you to get rid of this. It is not simple. We will help, but can't do it for you.
