Lsx setting time 9th Sep 17 at 6:14 PM
I have applied lsx Silicoln onto a minor leak around my loo water in pipe. How long should I allow the lsx to set for? Is longer better or is 24 hours enough? I'm in no rush to turn my water back in, so not sure if keeping it off for more than 24 hours makes any difference?

Did you apply internally to a joint to help it seal or externally? If internally then I normally turn water back on straight away, otherwise I would say 24 hours is long enough for an external 'repair'.

The presence of water helps LSX cure apparently but you don't want excess pressure or this will force water through your repair before fully set.

IT was exterior application, I turned it on again and sadly the leak hasn't been fixed. I need to now change my toilet part as obviously the plastic thread and metal bolt is not being tightened without a hairline gap allowing through the leak
