Villa - Pay in Euros or bank transfer 8th Sep 17 at 9:02 PM
    Hi Guys,
I've booked a villa in Spain and the owner has given me the option to pay in Euros upon arrival or bank transfer. Which will be best financially?
Note, I have been to the same villa twice before so no issues with trust however I've always paid by bank transfer.
Thanks in advance for any replies

If you are both happy to open a free Revolut account(opened in minutes), you can do an immediate transfer on arrival with no charges whatsoever.

Even though you have confidence, given the option pay in Euros.

Financially I expect there will be charged for the transfer and you can buy Euros in tranches whenever you see good rates reducing exchange rate risks.

One downside with that could be the amount of cover you get in your insurance for cash. Maybe get the Euros on a FX card?

Edit: never heard of WAYTs idea before but sound worth investigating!
