Help with old parking tickets 8th Sep 17 at 3:13 PM
I am just looking for some advice on this - I live in Scotland & received 4 parking tickets over the period of a few months in 2014 - at the time i ignored all the letters & forgot about it. I had not heard anything until last week I received another 4 letters (for each of the charges from a recovery agency). Am I okay to keep ignoring these or will it eventually catch up to me? The total they want is about £700 at the moment. I figured it was about 3 years ago so if they were going to take it further they would have already? Any help would be great thanks

    Yes. Keep ignoring.

Throughout this forum this message gets repeated ad nauseum:-

Ignore debt collectors. No need to start a new thread about their letters

Okay thanks - so it's unlikely that there will be any further action taken? I would prefer to avoid having to go to court etc! Thanks tho

You haven't named the company. VCS and Indigo occasionally try a small claim in Scotland, no others that I can think of.
PRIVATE PCN? DON'T PAY BUT DO NOT IGNORE IT TWO Clicks needed for advice:
Top of the page: Home>>Forums>Household & Travel>Motoring>Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking - read the 'NEWBIES' FAQS thread!
Advice to ignore is WRONG, unless in Scotland/NI.
