Help parking fine, advice needed please 8th Sep 17 at 12:45 PM
Hi, as the registered keeper of a car parked in the barriered staff car park a parking fine ticket was placed on the window screen. This was (unfortunately) ignored now the person has a pre-court notice letter requesting payment of £110.
The person driving the car used a pass to get into the barriered car park, placed the valid permit on the dash but it must of blown off when closing the door. Any advice on what to do now would be gratefully received. Should the person just pay up? is this likely to go to court? guess they should have appealed but it is now too late. Now worried.

    Thanks

Everyone is politely asked to read the newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum before starting a new thread.

The whole process of these invoices is explained and advised on there including dealing with court correspondence and preparing for a hearing

Read up on the game you are now caught up in.

No-one here advises you to pay just because you are being threatened with court

It is not painting by numbers, but it is not rocket science either, it will take several hours for it to fall into place, but every ticket batted into the long grass costs them money.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

You are caught up in a game that is complicated to understand to begin with.

Take time to understand each section in the FAQ.

Presumably the keeper is being threatened with court, not the driver

As you will read in the FAQ keep it that way and don't reveal who was driving

Thank you for the replies and help

The letters have been completely ignored by the keeper. The person has until 4pm today to pay so it is too late to make a response stating the alleged debt is disputed and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended? So continue to ignore it or pay ...

I replied to you here, it's just TPS and Gladstones like any other (and we win them):

the keeper simply replies using a letter based on the replies to LBCCCs shown in the NEWBIES thread, post #2.

No. That's what the keeper must do, and stop thinking they have to dance to the fake deadlines set by Gladstones. This is a tiny stage of posturing, pre-court. STOP looking at the clock/calendar and take the weekend to draw up a LBCCC response and tell us more about the case.

The keeper should know that it might go to a small claim but that we have 99% success. And the one person who lost didn't have to sit on the naughty step, no CCJ, no blemish on credit records, they just paid the £175 or £200 (no huge costs) within a month and the whole thing was over anyway.

PRIVATE PCN? DON'T PAY BUT DO NOT IGNORE IT TWO Clicks needed for advice:
Top of the page: Home>>Forums>Household & Travel>Motoring>Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking - read the 'NEWBIES' FAQS thread!
Advice to ignore is WRONG, unless in Scotland/NI.
