    Which Bank ? 6th Sep 17 at 9:40 PM
I took out a car loan in 2000 which I believe included PPI. Unfortunately I can't remember which financial institution.

Is there anyway to identify which bank I took the loan out with in 2000 ?

Banks retailed personal loans. Car dealers retailed car loans.

So, in your case, with it being a car loan, you would complain to the car dealer. In most cases (other than own brand finance) the car dealer would not consider your complaint as you bought it before the dealer was regulated.

Clear score is one of a couple of free firms that show the past few years of searches on your file; but, you usually have to pay a small fee to Experian for historic data.
Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.
