Changing Tax credits payments from weekly to four weekly. 5th Sep 17 at 6:18 PM
Hi as the title says basically,

I want to change my tax credits from weekly payments to 4 weekly. I called to ask how long it usually takes and they said 8 weeks without a payment after pushing past the we cant say.

I just wondered if anyone had changed recently and can advise how long it took theirs to change/how long without a payment?

I realise it will be different for everyone, just wanting to know if 8 weeks is the maximum or the minimum.

    Thank you

I called them August 3rd - day after my payment date. Next payment date 6th September - then 4 weekly after that
It was sorted out within 48 hours and visible on my online account.

So not really long with no payment assuming the payment you receive on the 6th is 4 weeks money?

The 8 weeks without anything scared me a little

    Thank you for replying

Just incase anyone comes looking for the answer.

I called Thursday 7th Sept. Received my normal payment on the 8th but now it's updated on my online account and I will receive the first 4 weekly payment on the 29th September

Interesting though not sure if this change is suitable for me.

I seem to manage with pip every month and wtc every week though tempting to change to monthly.

Though could be a long few weeks if I were to spend too much.
