    Motorola G or G plus

    Motorola G or G plus 4th Sep 17 at 11:34 AM
My current contract has come to an end. Following advice on this forum I went for the Motorola 3rd generation. I have loved it but need to upgrade as short on memory. I am with O2.
I now see the two phones I mentioned but am unsure about the difference other than bigger memory. I am elderly and don't think I could justify spending the money say for an iPhone or such like.
I have read some reviews and there seems to be some who are delighted but a few others who complain of "Ghosting" not sure what this means. The thing that really concerned me was the customer service and their unwillingness to sort the problem out.
    I could have the G for £19 a month 500 data 500 mins and 500 texts.
My use is way below they 300 300 mins but I have unlimited texts.
Looking at my history only once did I have over 400 text but average was just over 200.
I could have the phone for lower cost if I changed my provider. Say £15.99.Saw this on Caroline Warehouse.
I would value your opinions. Thanks Sue

The lowest cost option would be to find a suitable SIM-only monthly or annual contact with any network, then call O2 and ask for your PAC. They may offer you a similar deal to what you have found elsewhere in order to retain your custom. Buy your preferred new handset outright, at your convenience and the best price.

Thank for that I have been looking at the prices £146 for the G and around £200 for the G plus .John Lewis have a price match and I have bought several things from them over the years.
My worry is that I would not be able to transfer things to the new phone.
    Thanks again

I would like to buy the phone See it at £149 several places . Concerned I might not be able to transfer my things from old phone .
Also sim only what do I look for.
Currently 300 mb 300 minutes and unlimited texts which meets my needs.
Can I change to a different provider that have deals for a lot less than 02
I am concerned about keeping my number which I know is possible.
    Advice bwould be appreciated. Sue

This is very simple. Just sign into your google account and the new phone will invite you to transfer all your stuff from old phone.

Have it switched on as well

Sim only Tesco mobile for £6

Get your number transferred from o2 with a PAC (porting authorisation code)

    Tesco mobile shop will help you ;

    https://shop.tescomobile.com/pay-monthly/sim-only/Tesco+Mobile/simonly/tariff

or get the G5 phone from them with no upfront cost @ £14.50 a month

Putting Tesco Xtras app on will reduce this to £11.50 a month

    .
