PCN help please 24th Aug 17 at 11:41 AM
    Hi all

Exactly 14 days ago I got issued a PCN from Local Parking Security ltd.

I have heard that as this was a private car park this company are not the police/council they have no legal grounds to demand money from me and the best thing to do was ignore this PCN.

So this is what I planned to do.

Except right now at 5 am on the last day I got to pay the charge at the reduced rate I thought of something that maybe it means I got to pay.

The car park I got the ticket in uses cameras, so they have pictures of me entering the car park and a picture of me leaving the car park.
I wondered if the fact that there is concrete proof my car was there and I was driving, does this change anything, does it give them more grounds against me?
Or should I just continue ignoring them?

    Hope you can help.
    Thanks for your time.

Follow Ralph-y's advice, but for avoidance of doubt:

Anyone can send you an invoice, it's not a fine.
    You should not ignore.
The reduced rate is actually a bribe to bully you into paying up and shutting up.
How on earth do you think they can possibly know who was driving unless you tell them?
Proof your car was there does not mean that the invoice should be paid.

The reduced 14 day period means nothing to you at all; you won't be paying.

Please read the NEWBIES thread and appeal; I didn't write 'PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST' to be ignored!

PRIVATE PCN? DON'T PAY BUT DO NOT IGNORE IT TWO Clicks needed for advice:
Top of the page: Home>>Forums>Household & Travel>Motoring>Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking - read the 'NEWBIES' FAQS thread!
Advice to ignore is WRONG, unless in Scotland/NI.
