Win 10 recovery mode 8th Aug 17 at 1:54 PM
Why my only fulll recovery mode failed approx 75% is beyond me.

Asus 32 flash storage latptop since booting to bios only.

If I could remember boot to win10 recovery screen there maybe a chance of saving my entry level laptop .

Still pursuing some return to Asus options as warranty has a few months yet though slightly disappointed Currys couldnít produce a sales receipt in store as I cant remember which card I used to pay for the laptop and Asus require a sales receipt as I didnít keep paper receipt.

Failed courier collection today -‘your collection was rejected’ -no idea why.

Call to Asus-escalated to re arrange collection tomorrow.

Starting to be a bit disappointing,

Asus and I are not having any luck in getting dpd to collect my laptop.

Iíve been re assured it will be collected Mon next week since receiving a text today and referring to dpd website to find their courier was going to colllect from Milton Keynes, I called Asus and explained the incorrect postcode prefix was sending a courier to England rather than Scotland!

Not to worry thereís more important things to deal with as a single homeowner

    Today Wed’s 27th Sept.
Laptop collected to be returned to Asus for repair or replacement.
Not bad considering courier was sent to Milton Keynes twice.

I’ll re post my last update once laptop is repaired.
Can’t believe I found the original receipt yesterday.

Thanks though believe me laptop hasn’t yet been returned.

I’ll refer to ‘* Estimate Completion Date is only for reference purposes; The actual completion date is based on repair condition.’

Can I make use of scandisk32gb usb drive-to make a win10 recovery when my laptop arrives tomorrow.

As my Asus win10 laptop is to be returned home today repaired.
Is it possible to create a usbwin10 recovery+add files to usbdrive to use storage capacity.
    Scandisk. 32gb usb drive.
Hoping to avoid any further returns to Asus though at least it’s an in warranty repair -respect Asus c/s who were very helpful.

Although Recovery Drives have their uses, I'd also take a full backup image of the machine in its freshly-delivered state (or nearly) with Macrium Reflect or similar. This will need an external driver you can attach and also mean creating a Macrium Recovery Drive (called Rescue Media) on another USB drive (so you can boot the computer if it all goes wrong), although you can get away with a much smaller drive than 32GB for the Rescue Media.

I completed the recovery drive via usb yesterday-used most of 32gb usb drive.
This laptop had 28gb available from built in flash storage.
Since got ms office installed as I have subs until Cct’2018 from O2-Ipad upgrade.
This laptop takes some time to charge power-finish charging today.
Laptop was returned with 70% charge-expected after being repaired/tested.
I’m not going to purchase a new external hdd as I don’t find any storage need.
Though your media rescue tool advice is valid I’ll be happy with 2 recovery options.
    1. -built in recovery partition-includes win10+Asus laptop drivers.
    2. -Scnadik usb3.0 Recovery Drive.
Funny as bios key is Escape key -which wasn’t taking me into bios before involving Asus -though Esc is since working.
Amazing help via MSER’s that’s me until I sell my ps4 via e-bay -maybe this Fri (gaming thread)
