Lloyds - Time lasped 17th Jul 17 at 3:46 PM
    Hi,

Hoping for some more help re PPI please

Been waiting for a reply from Lloyds regarding two loan accounts for a while. Today I receive a letter advising they wrote to me in April 2014 and they only have to give me 3 years from this date.

Now I don't recall ever receiving letters like this and the address they currently write to me at is my parents, where they say this letter went, I didn't live at my parents for a period in 2014 however I'm pretty sure my parents would have passed on any mail that came.

Further to this I did write to them in March this year asking for details but got no reply. I then made a complaint through resolver in June which prompted their investigation.

Is there anything I can do?

Explain to them that you never got the letter in 2014. Its a long shot but they may decide to waive it.
Also, explain to them that you complained in March 2017 and query why you never got a response. Again, its a long shot.

So just after writing this I provided a letter showing my correct address. I then received a letter stating their final reply was attached (which was a copy of the original letter). I emailed them several times stating there was no mention of the letter I provided, I received no reply. I called the helpline and was told I would be called back, I wasn't.

I then referred this to the Ombudsman who acknowledged my complaint last week. On Friday I got a call from Lloyds who stated they had not been ignoring me and trying to contact me for several weeks (lies). Anyway they have overturned the decision and my case is now with the calculation team, the money will be deposited into my bank account by transfer.

Does anybody know how long this should take, not to sound impatient but they have dragged it out long enough. I'm very I'll at the moment and the money would come in very useful.
