It's coming on the 17th week of the conveyancing process. I'm in a chain, I have a buyer who has a buyer. We have leasehold flats. Wow 17 weeks feels long... Is this normal?!?

Not as excruciating as yet another thread from you about buying this new place and selling your current home.
