We are looking at either granite or quartz work tops for a new kitchen based in Sutton Coldfield, has anyone used a company that have had great experience with and love there worktops, we aren't keen on trying the online ones
    Any info gratefully appreciated thanks

Difficult to answer. You could pick a good company and then they sub contract the templating and sub contract the fitting. The end result can then be poor.

I have used one company not too far from you, but that one I would definitely not recommend to anyone. Hence I can name one to avoid but not one to choose.

Regardless, if you research requirements, draw up a specification, inspect and oversee the work, and pay on credit card you cannot, hopefully, go far wrong.

I just had a quartz worktop fitted as part of my Kitchen order from DIY-Kitchens.com
they subcontract out the worktop to these guys:

Very impressed with the price paid and the service/quality.
