    Hi guys ...
So I have started baking loads and I'm using loads of cocoa powder, I was wondering if anyone knows a cheap place to get it ? Or an alternative .. It's pretty expensive so any savings would be fab !

    Thanks a mill x

I may well get shot down in flames for this but cocoa powder is one ingredient where I won't look for a cheap alternative. I'd rather buy the best quality I can afford than effectively waste the rest of the ingredients as cheap cocoa never tastes right to me.

If anyone knows where to get cheap Green&Blacks cocoa I will love them forever

I'll third that - NEVER skimp on cocoa powder!! You will really taste the difference if you use cheap stuff

I use either Cadbury Bournville or Green & Blacks - they are made in the same factory since Cadbury bought out G&B.

I normally buy sainsburys own, but it has recently gone up to £2.10 a box, so I thought I would try Asda's own as it was £1.60 - I haven't tried it yet but will let you know when I have. Sainsburys is very good, quite dark compared to others.

Thanks guys ... I would buy the better stuff but it's mainly for my work place so I don't mind the quality being a bit less (I don't eat any lol)

I like Sainsbugs a lot better than C*d burys. I find it a bit richer and it mixes better too.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Aldi do their own cocoa powder - £1.69 for 250g. But I really, really like the Rowntrees from Morrisons - £2.18 for 250g (on offer at the mo) (it tastes great and the smell when mixed with hot water is just divine!!) So if cooking for work, Aldi's will do, but for me, Rowntrees

To be honest my family don't like the Green and Blacks, lol! I like either Bergsdorp, which you can't get over here and is very expensive to buy on the net, or Tesco own brand.
