A quarter pounder or a quart of ice cream

I think the correct answer is that neither will make you much heavier as long as you don't smell the food before eating it.

    Think I'm joking??

    Think again.
I walk around like everything is fine, but deep down, inside my shoe, my sock is sliding off.

A quart of ice cream weighs about 1.25 pounds, I believe.

The quarter pounder shrinks during cooking as water is given off, so it will probably weigh a bit less, but the bun and relishes will add a bit. However, the finished product is unlikely to weigh more than 1.25 pounds, so it looks like the ice cream will make you heavier, immediately after eating it.

How much heavier each might make you in the long term depends on how many calories each contains, and what your lifestyle is like, i.e. active or sedentary etc.

On another note, whether each makes you heavier depends on whether YOU carry them out of the shop, or your butler.

Also, if you carry them on your head, they will be less heavy than if you carry them in a carrier bag, because things weigh more the nearer the centre of the earth they are.
