Insurance for year abroad student 11th Jul 17 at 7:25 PM
My son will be spending the 3rd year of his university course in New Orleans. He is taking out the university's own recommended medical insurance. He is also taking out renters insurance which covers all his valuables and possessions. We are now looking for travel insurance. We only need to cover his flights there and back. This will be four flights as he will come home at Christmas. The problem is we cannot find cover for flights only.Normal travel insurance does not cover such long stays. Specific year abroad insurance includes medical and valuables insurance which he will already have so we want to avoid duplicating it. Anyone have any advice to offer or have a son/daughter who may have been in a similar position ? Thank you
