swiss resident uk bank account pening 11th Jul 17 at 11:19 AM
I moved to Switzerland 30 years ago and am now a swiss resident.
I visit the UK to visit family and want a UK bank account with a debit card but im having lots of problems due to me being a swiss resident.
Which UK bank will let me open a joint account with a debit card and let me do my online banking when back in switzerland.
I currently with the Nat West and having lots of problems with them and they wont give me a joint account with a debit card.

Your previous posts mention that you have accounts that are only available to UK residents, so have you used a UK address to acquire these? Obviously that could cause issues if you haven't actually been resident in the UK, is that why NatWest won't play ball?

There are a couple of options mentioned at https://www.bba.org.uk/customers/personal-banking/current-accounts-personal-banking/bank-account-access-in-the-uk-for-non-residents-2/

Barclays and HSBC both do International banking IIRC, which would provide you with a debit card to use in the UK.
I work for a UK bank, but any comments made on this forum are solely my personal opinion. Caveat Emptor!
