Counterfeit DVD? 10th Jul 17 at 7:20 PM
Hi, Have just bought Big Bang Theory season 10 from eBay, sols as new/sealed, UK seller delivered within 3 days.
Tag line on reverse of case is "The geers really haue inherited the Earth". I assume this should be "Geeks & Have". Have emailed Warner Bros along with scan of case. Depending on their opinion what would be my best course of action? I know I can get refunded via eBay, but seller shouldn't get away with this, he still has 7 for sale.

"What high ground are you wanting? All of the seller's items removed?"

Yes, he is selling multiple copies of various DVDs.

Take your money and then fight your case with the relevant authorities (depending on which legislative jurisdiction they are under) but don't think the seller won't continue or reappear, unfortunately that is the online marketplace.

Their account was still running but a couple of months later I pointed this out to ebay again and they were very apologetic and closed the site down so each situation is different.

I throw my 5p worth in.

I buy the boxset of a particular US show each year. Look on Amazon and the UK release is usually some time in October. Put my name down then get bored waiting. So go look on ebay and loads, some are no doubt fake, wrong box cover is a dead give away, also ask about the extras on the DVD, gag reels etc? A few business sellers I have bought from import from the US, the boxset is released around July/August over there. So will say its a region 1 DVD etc. My old DVD play I have unlocked for any region, now it seems all players will play all regions anyway. Oh and its cheaper than Amazon.

Warner Bros. will have them removed once they are aware.

Update, messaged seller telling him I wasn't pleased, and to refund + return postage and I would return. To be fair to him he immediately refunded price paid, and said not to bother returning. Don't think he could have been any fairer.
