The Returning 9th Jul 17 at 9:08 AM
    Pinched this one from Yougov

Have you returned to something/somewhere/someone that you had previously been/with.

    For example -
    Returned to a previous partner
Returned to your original hometown to live
Returned to a workplace in the same or different position
Started smoking or drinking again after a spell being stopped
Every man is innocent until proven broke.
Cryin won't help you, prayin won't do you no good.

    Walk 2000 3000 miles in 2017 - 2411.8
    This week 73.3

I stopped smoking for 5 years and returned to the weed for another 5 years before stopping completely.

I have also returned to a previous partner but it didn't last long as I found out she was two-timing me
Every man is innocent until proven broke.
Cryin won't help you, prayin won't do you no good.

I did return to alcohol after not drinking any for a couple of years due to medication I was on at the time. Wish I hadn't. Still don't drink wine, though.

I stopped smoking in 2006. If I hadn't stopped I wouldn't be typing this posting.....tbh quitting was a lot easier than I expected it to be.

I'd love to give up drinking.....wine o'clock, albeit very controlled, is too convenient, the offie is too close to ignore.

Never returned to an old workplace.....but when I left my last proper job in Riyadh [Saudi Arabia] in 2003, our son who also worked there stayed on [for a year, he said], and he's still there almost 15 years later, and doing very well for himself. Some of my old work places have either been turned into razor blades, or big shopping outlets [eg. Gunwharf Quays in Pompey].

We return to our roots in Lancaster at least once a year for a week.....it used to be a lovely market town, but over the past 50 years the whole town has gradually been taken over by Lancaster University, it's now completely engulfed. Hundreds of lovely old terraced houses have become buy-to-let and turned into student accommodation, loads of interesting old buildings converted into student accommodation, and all the new builds are following the same path. Community spirit has all gone, as students come and go all the time, fly tipping as they go. Makes me feel very sad.

I have returned to many places I have lived - Only to visit.

It was sad to read about your previous partner Wizard, all I can say is what goes around comes around.
Or, if they cheat with you, they will cheat on you.

I returned today to the sailing club i use to go. Not for a sail, just to put a card on the notice board to try and sell my boat.

I've got photographs of nearly every house I lived in from childhood and beyond (excluding my time in England). I don't think I'd want to physically go back.

This is the 11th year in my present house.
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.
