Bradley came to fame last year and we had a thread about him here on Mse, when the little Sunderland fan became the Everton mascot for the day after they made a £30k donation towards getting medical help for him.
Sadly his cancer wasn't treatable and he's died.
I'm sure all the Sunderland fans will give him a good send-off.

Having followed this for some weeks now, and posting on another thread about it, I don't mind saying that I shed a few tears tonight after seeing these beautiful images and hearing Jermain Defoe talk about Bradley in a press conference earlier today.

    RIP young man.

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...

Very sad, fly with the angels Bradley.
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama

Just received an email from Change.org, someone has started a petition on there asking Sunderland to re-name one of the stands the Bradley Lowery stand.

    Chris CollierRichmond, United Kingdom

Bradley Lowery, the brave six year old Sunderland AFC fan from County Durham, captured the hearts of the entire nation after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. He has now sadly passed away.
My thoughts are with the Lowery family at this unimaginably difficult time. As a father, with a son just Bradley’s age, it’s breaks my heart to think what they are going through.
Brad became a mascot for the team. He has become a symbol of love and hope, and nobody can think of Sunderland AFC without thinking of him.
Because of this, he deserves a permanent feature in his memory. The renaming of one of the stands at the Stadium of Light is the perfect idea. Please sign this petition to make it happen.

Heartbreaking:-( have a nearly 6 yr old son myself & I can't even begin to imagine how devastated his parents must be. He was so brave though & they should be so proud of him.
