Best 'welcome' gifts on completion from Mortgage lender / estate agent 26th Jun 17 at 8:39 PM
Wondering what peoples experiences are of of 'welcome' gifts from mortgage lenders / estate agents after completion?

Hearing stories ranging from key rings to magnums of champagne, to goodie bags of tea and coffee etc....

    Whats the best/worst gift you've had.....if any?

Personally, I'm about to complete on my first home on 13th July, and certainly not expecting anything from Natwest, but hear other lenders are quiet generous?

Along with my box from Barratts, yesterday I received a similar box from Newcastle Building Society. It had similar stuff in it to the Barratt box except it had a cafetiere and one of the mugs was smashed!

Also worryingly, they sent it to number 7, not my door number, 76. Thankfully the guy at number 7 brought it up to me. Not sure how he knew to bring it to me other than guessing as I was the last house before the building site, it was mine!

We had flowers from the estate agent and a card from the building society.
