What's irritating you VI 23rd Jun 17 at 7:20 AM
Haven't even got out of bed yet and I'm irritated.
-The badly behaved cat peed in the laundry basket so all my summer clothes have had to go back in the wash and I'll have to wear jeans today.
-I've pulled a muscle in my leg and have to drag it behind me, quasimodo style
-OH ate all the bread so I can't have toast for breakfast

Pyxis - I hope your hand is better today.
Casseroles are very over-rated but gin is an enduring classic!

There is nothing worse than a pan falling off the stove, slipping get stuff out of the oven.
    there's the burn
    the mess
    the wasted time
and the dismal prospect of the clean up

so my heart goes out to you

I am steeling myself to throw the food away. It is an anathema to me to do that, but it really did taste awful.
And there was enough for three meals.

Shame, 'cos if I still had my dogs, they'd have loved it!

Actually, they'd have licked up all the spilled liquid, too, and saved me using so much kitchen roll!

Which reminds me...... must mop the kitchen floor properly today...... only did it quickly yesterday.

Dogs are soooo useful for spills. sigh

You have heard of "builders from hell"
Well I have a customer that was spawn from the devil.
This witch of a women owes me 7K and has done for six months, she continually finds another reason not to pay and puts more new jobs on the list. These jobs were never on my remit. She has me by the short and curlies and knows it. What do you do walk away leaving the money behind, or keep going in the forlorn hope of getting at least enough to cover the materials I've paid for.

Just heard on the news that the number of donkeys is falling rapidly due to China's appetite for using their skins in medicinal products.

    For God's sake!
China seems to be responsible, on 'medicinal' grounds, for decimating the world's population of so many animals. As most of these so-called 'medicinal' claims appear to be more placebo than anything, it would be laughable if it weren't so utterly sad.

Latey Mclateface is back on top form as chief irritator.
The phone rings..."isn't anyone going to get that?" he says, himself NOT ANSWERING THE PHONE.
    Stupid smugface.

Oh, and of course he was late again.

My sewing machine has not got a hemming foot (that fits), so I need to cut, and iron & pin a square of muslin. Husband is dogmatic: must be 2' square, all his books say so, who am I to say otherwise?

Other than the woman driving the sewing machine, who has made jelly before? Noone, clearly. Bah.

Indeed - the bowl he loves best is an easy 20" across, not that he makes steamed puddings in it, (or at all) whereas I had planned to make cranberry jelly - using a jellybag not some oversized handkerchief.

There is a distinct lack of reasonable on both sides!

    I'm irritated.

    I have a £50 voucher for a department store.

All the things I know I want, they don't stock.

Twice I've been through their website and I can't find anything I'd like.

2 shades in my basket at Matalan, ordered 2 from Tesco direct. Then thought I’ll look on Amazon, three lots on my wish list, ordered 2 and cancelled Tesco order, not looking any further

    Nuts!!!!!!
Trying to buy wheel nuts for a trailer I'm selling.

Ordered some off ebay - wrong ones.
Ordered some regular nuts - they'll do at a push.
Ordered some proper ones through a local dealer - over a week went by and they still couldn't tell me where they were.
Ordered from the Main Dealer on Tuesday. - enquired today and they had no record of the sale. Called me back and told me of a 'glitch in the system' and they would be with me on Monday.

    It's drivin' me NUTS!!!
I don't like morning people. Or mornings. Or people.

Being reassessed for something that I receive due to a health condition that is with me for life. What a waste of time and money. Probably just trying to rob me out of it.
