What's irritating you VI 23rd Jun 17 at 7:20 AM
Haven't even got out of bed yet and I'm irritated.
-The badly behaved cat peed in the laundry basket so all my summer clothes have had to go back in the wash and I'll have to wear jeans today.
-I've pulled a muscle in my leg and have to drag it behind me, quasimodo style
-OH ate all the bread so I can't have toast for breakfast

The "safe" passwords some websites have, not just a normal one but must contain at least 1 capital letter, 1 number and one unique digit like $ on it.

Makes remembering the passwords for those websites so frustrating

Anyway not sure to find funny or annoyed yesterday but last week bought a safety pin set which had a few sewing needles in with larger holes (not that good at threading, and I like to double the thread too) thinking I had plenty of unused extra thick thread at home, couldn't find thread so bought a sewing kit with loads of thread from poundshop.

Sewed up the thing I needed done, went in drawer next to where I was sitting, found one of the extra strong threads I was needing, then went in drawer below and brand new higher quality needles!

So wasted £2 basically, not much but annoyed me a little.

On the silly side when I got bus this morning this woman with bus pass (young woman not old) got on and asked for the town library stop, the bus driver gave her one for the stop after that (which isn't important as its a free ticket) she went to bus driver "you have given me one for the stop after mine, its the wrong stop" then huffed then went "never mind"

    Felt silly!

Found a four legged intruder (feline) in the house under a desk that refused to move!
Looked ok and well fed, but I don't want you Tom! After furniture moving, splashing with water, poking, and lots of hissing managed to take it by it's scruff and put it outside hopefully with any parasites.

Now I'm stressed and have binged on crisps and chocolate .....

The wife got quite a bit less money this month in her pay packet than she was expecting. Turned out it was student loan hadn't been deducted in the first two months of her new job.

Today I'm on a day off and she's at work. The payslip is on the table from yesterday and I go to tidy it up. Notice the tax code is 0T. Zero effing T.

There are several reasons this intensely irritates me and I have about three hours to calm down before she gets home.

This happens to her all the time. She correctly hands in her P45 and some idiot fails to action things properly resulting in her going on to the wring tax code. I have absolutely no doubt that it's the employer messing up and not the wife failing to hand in the p45.

About a year ago it happened in her previous job. She was complaining about her job - which admittedly was pretty stressful - and finished with "it's not like I'm even paid that much for it". I asked how much her net pay was. The amount didn't seem right. "Let's have a look at your payslip." Surprise surprise - zero effing T.

At the time she'd been there a few months. I told her back then that - forget blaming the people at work who had messed up - ultimately it's her job to ensure she's on the correct tax code, and given it's happened so frequently I couldn't understand why she doesn't check her first payslip of a new job thoroughly.

And now the exact same situation in her new job. Again it's me that's figured it out, not her! I've worked out that in the last three months she will have paid £600 too much tax.

To top it off, having phoned her at lunch, her work say they have no record of her submitting the p45. She says it's now back in the house and asked me to dig it out. I've spent over an hour looking for it and can't find it.

Feel better having ranted on here

This time last year I sent someone a bunch of flowers for her birthday, via a well-known department store's website.

Anyway they ballsed it up, and it cost me a lot of grief and disappointment sorting it out.
I got compensation in the end, in the form of a credit note, but even that caused me grief, as before I could 'spend' it the flower part of the business was discontinued, and it took me another five months to get my credit note converted to a gift voucher.
(Which I finally 'spent' last week!)

So, this year, I decided to send my friend some flowers via a well-known supermarket's website, and guess what, they have now ballsed it up too!
I'm still in the process of sorting that out, but feel like a wet rag.

Me and bouquets seemed to be jinxed.

People at work who copy in all of the big bods when they're chasing for an answer to an email.

The fact that my colleague replied and attached the email she sent 4 days ago, within an hour of us receiving his original mail, should probably go in the "Things that made you smile" thread

Yahoo email page is now taking so long to open because of the adverts I am wondering if it is worth it

I can see the list of mail quick enough but I can't do anything until the bloody advert loads, not even navigate away from the page. On top of that if I open another window and come back to the Yahoo one, it immediately starts to load a new advert and I am stuck waiting again.

At work, got 5 colleagues off sick - 2 from recovery from operations, 2 with winter vomiting and another with an ongoing medical condition.

Customer yelled at supervisor that this isn't good enough and should close the shop! This person has clearly never worked in retail as we do get customers that either worked in retail or their partner or other close relative works/worked in retail and understand this situation.

I know the timings of the operations are bad, but think both are schedule to return just before Christmas, Rather have the op then and have these colleagues off during the last 10 days before Christmas. Also these colleagues can celebrate Christmas pain free. Both colleagues did have time off due to their problems that got operated on earlier in the year.

Does the customer like their shopping to be covered in vomit as well?
