solicitor for 2 people selling to buy property together 18th Jun 17 at 5:26 PM
Hi we are a couple who are selling respective flats to buy one property. There is a distance involved of about 40 miles. Was just wondering whether it is better to have one solicitor between us both to do all the conveyancing for selling both properties together and for buying one home together? or should we have separate solicitors which might be a little easier in terms of signing papers, but is not impossible with one solicitor.
Also how do you find a good solicitor , is there anywhere that reviews them? its been a long time since I bought and sold any property.

    Thank you for any advice

Yes, using the same solicior for both sales, and the purchase, and for the mortgage if you're getting one, will reduce the amount of liasing/communication required.
