Private parking fine at hospital 16th Jun 17 at 3:48 PM
Sorry for starting a new thread however I had a parking ticket whilst at work. I was advised by parking attendants that I could park there with a note in the windscreen. This was fine for over a month but now ive been charged.

I stupidly contacted them with an email explaining this and they rejected my appeal and are requesting I go through I began to fill it in but I had a bad feeling about them so I didn't continue however I did enter my personal details and that I was driving. But when it came to the terms and conditions I had a bad feeling and chose not to continue. I'm glad now having read about IAS and im not sure how they are really getting away with it.

I have has a bit of back and forth with islandgroup who issued the charge as they rejected but didn't address anything I told them. They then apologised and said they have no control over tickets and it is hospital security who are responsible. I then went to hospital security and they swear blind it is islandgroup. So currently they haven't answered me when I asked them what the point of appealing is if they are declining it anyway without looking.

Does anyone know how I can best proceed? I'm wishing I found the newbie page I was on first as it would have helped so much.

as this is an IPC member (from what you say) the NEWBIES sricky thread does tell you what to do next

    which is

come back if you get an MCOL within 6 years for further help and advice

on a side note, this seems to breach the NHS guidelines that were issued over 2 years ago, so it may be worth taking it up with the trust and your union (quote the NHS guidelines at them)

Private Parking ticket? check the 2 sticky threads by coupon-mad and crabman in the Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking Board forum for the latest advice or maybe try pepipoo or C.A.G. or legal beagles forums if you need legal advice as well because this parking forum is not about debt collectors or legal matters per se

Self ticketing - by Hospital security - a tiny firm we've hardly heard of:

Bunch of chancers, well worth ignoring. Get on with real life and come back if they try court and we'll laugh at them and help you defend their trash.

Click on the trail, top of this page: Home>>Forums>Household & Travel>Motoring>Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking - read the 'NEWBIES' FAQS thread!
DON'T read old advice to ignore, unless in Scotland/NI.
