Do car insurance companies credit check? 15th Jun 17 at 10:38 PM

I was just wondering if anyone knows if more than credit check for car insurance? Also, can someone else make the car insurance payments and if they do credit check, will it be me, the policy holder, or the person who is paying.

It says on their website about a credit agreement, however it does not mention about giving them permission to do a check.

They will point out that a credit check will be made if you select payment by instalments when applying for a policy

Some do a soft search just to see if your details are correct. I get a load of searches in the month my car insurance is due.

If you apply for credit/pay monthly then i would expect a full search to be done.
Punctuation, Spelling and Grammar will be used sparingly. Due to rising costs of inflation.

My contribution to MSE. Other contributions will only be used if they cost me nothing.

Due to me being a tight git.
