NatWest mortgage FTB 13th Jun 17 at 9:19 PM
    Hello,
Me and my husband are first time buyers and currently have a mortgage application going through with Natwest via l&c mortgages. We applied in full nearly two weeks ago and have been told today that the application is with the underwriters. I am so nervous! Does anyone know how long this can take? I'd be very interested to hear any mortgage application timelines.

Also, I believed that as of last year NatWest instructed valuers on day one of the application to speed up the process. But as far as I am aware they have no arranged for a survey despite taking the money as soon as the application was submitted. Is this normal? I am so overwhelmed by the mortgage application process!!

Has your broker not told you what to expect?

We just received our offer from Halifax! Happy days.

    For anyone that's interested:
    01/06/2017 DIP Approved.
    03/06/2017 Property Reserved
    05/06/2017 Full Application
    06/06/2017 Valuation Scheduled
    09/06/2017 Valuation
    12/06/2017 Offer Received

My application is with Santander and the sellers want a quick sale with 6weeks to completion so i'm very nervous and just hoping it all goes through without a hitch!

Let me know when you hear something! Fingers crossed!

That was my timeline. Halifax seem to have done everything very quickly. Hopefully Natwest won't hang around too long.

Amnblog - not really. Last week the broker said they hadnt reviewed addition al documents (payslips and bank statements) but did want further evidence formation on a standing order from my bank. Today I asked for an update and she said that it is with he underwriters. I asked if this was normal, as I have read conflicting threads - some saying they all go, some saying only some are referred.

One week from application to offer sounds like a dream! Fingers crossed we do not need to wait too much longer!

Natwest are pretty quick, you should have an answer before the weekend.

Have you looked at the Natwest mortgage tracker. You just need your mortgage application reference number.

They were really quick with me but I went direct. They booked the valuation 2 days after application, It was approved subject to valuation very soon after that. The longest wait was waiting for the valuation to take place. I got my mortgage offer the same say as the valuation took place.

I am so pleased to say we got a mortgage offer today through the broker. They said we shall receive a copy in the post shortly. So pleased. 13 days from full application to offer. Had to submit additional documents and they did query something on my bank statement. Fingers crossed it's all plain sailing from here
