MBNA Application 11th Jun 17 at 2:38 PM
Hi,. I already have an MBNA Platinum credit card and this morning I have applied for MBNA All Round credit card which was accepted however they did not say how much credit limit it would be.

In previous years I have opened and closed MBNA cards but all gave me credit limit at the end of the application.

Has anyone recently applied for MBNA card and were they told the credit limit straight away?

    Regards
    MS

yes it sometimes happens not just with mbna but also other card issues as well

you can either wait until you get the card and it will appear on the letter enclosed with the card or you can call them

If you already have a card they may simply request reallocation of limits from one card to the other.

Rang MBNA this morning. They have reallocated 8k from my 10k unused card to the new card.

Just thinking my credit report would shows my credit limit has been reduced from 10k to 2k will that have an affect on my credit rating?

Problem is by the time it takes to update the agencies, your new card with the new limit will be showing and will equal out any positive note.
