Smart parking fine 8th Jun 17 at 8:48 PM
So I received my parking fine of £60 from smart parking as parked at in a car park using a residents pass which was displayed in the windscreen. My stay was an hour. I didn't enter the Lesuire park to enter my car reg as my daughter hurt her foot and had to leave the car park. This is a genuine reason. I didn't realise that you have to enter my reg for each visit and now received a fine. Can I appeal ? Should I just ignore their correspondence ? Thanks 😫😫😫

only a fool would ignore the correspondence as that could result in a court case and cost money

a wise person would read the NEWBIES sticky thread near the top of this forum and follow the BPA advice, using the blue text template for their appeal

DO NOT REVEAL who was driving, and edit your post to remove any hint of it

Private Parking ticket? check the 2 sticky threads by coupon-mad and crabman in the Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking Board forum for the latest advice or maybe try pepipoo or C.A.G. or legal beagles forums if you need legal advice as well because this parking forum is not about debt collectors or legal matters per se

Do not ignore - major point, unless you want 6 years of hassle, including the possibility of court proceedings being served against you!

Read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 to learn how to deal with this. Easily beaten - if you put in the leg work.
We cannot provide you with a silver bullet to get you out of this. You have to be in for the long run, and need to involve yourself in research and work for you to get rid of this. It is not simple. We will help, but can't do it for you.

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.

If you read the newbies thread near the top of the forum (as you are politely asked to before starting a thread) you will find exactly what to do.

Click on the trail, top of this page: Home>>Forums>Household & Travel>Motoring>Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking - read the 'NEWBIES' FAQS thread!
DON'T read old advice to ignore, unless in Scotland/NI.
