Gluten & Lactose free bread query 8th Jun 17 at 2:25 PM
I would like to know if it's cheaper and/or better quality to make your own Gluten & Lactose free bread.

The thing is, Gluten & Lactose free bread tends to be rather expensive. Not to mention I've seen reviews for ready made bread being extrememly varied. Sort of like, for some it tastes awful, others they neither like or dislike, and others find it tasty.

For me I like my white bread to be fluffy, and my brown not to be too gritty.

If a recipe needs milk, I'll grab Lactose Free milk which costs between £1 and £1.54 per litre (depends whether they're on offer). I can pretty much figure I would have to buy gluten free flour which costs 2 to 3 times the price of regular flour.

However, I've Ducked the internet and scoured website after website and cannot get straight answers when it comes to gluten & lactose free bread recipes.

Surely someone would have some suggestion for me.

If you have any questions for me, please ask away.

Darn. I forgot to mention that the recipes need to be for bread makers. However, I am reading through the site that you posted.
