Good Afternoon all , well after a long time of worry ,determination and hassle I'm pleased to announce that Caitlin has got into the senior school in her village. We are all over the moon and it's made everything all worthwhile eg the move etc

We had to go to appeal for our eldest - this was a very long time ago now, eventually she got her place.
It was as we knew totally the right school for her - and also her brothers who followed on ..

Green jinn - has anyone else noticed its on the GJ list this week for sainsbobs 50p cashback and also on COS list for Sainsbobs - so one pack with two lots of cashback.

Also on the dark side someone has pointed out half price Special K 500g at waitroses - also on GJ with 70p cashback
Very useful if you have a waitrsoe conditional spend

It'll be really good for her social life too, she will have friends nearby for after school and weekends.

It cuts you off a bit if you have to travel a distance to school. My DD had to travel, but fortunately she had 3 friends who lived close to us who also went there, so that eased the situation.

Also if anyone is outraged at the increase in the price of butter (now between £1.40 and £2 depending on your taste)
Bertoli is on offer for £1 in sada and Morribobs - I got a pack on Saturday, not tried it yet.
I can use it in baking if it gets thumbs down but otherwise a few packs will go in the freezer

    Good afternoon Elite.
Hoping everyone is warm, happy and well. Hugs to those not so.

I've not read back for a few days yet so apologies for any missed birthdays, etc.

Just wanted to let you know I'm handing in my badge. So hectic at work this last couple of weeks I've realised just this minute that I've let a £15 golden balls APG run out yesterday. It was the third rinse and repeat so not as bad as it could be. But still. £15!!!! That's a month's worth of shopping!! Gutted. Hangs head in shame.

It's not looking good. Aldi was 1.08, not sure what it is now as it has vanished from MSM, Asda Smartprice says 1.23, McColls was 1.25 last time I looked, all a bit pricey compared with the 80p days. Sometimes I get lucky in T as they often reduce the Organic butter. And McColl can be generous with their reductions too.

With a bit of a struggle I keep about 10 months worth.

I was clearing out August 2016 for recycling- I try not to look at least years prices but there was country life butter for £1 -

MOCs ruined us - president butter is our all time favourite but once we had Brittany butter in Morribbos with salt crystals in for £1 so we had a small stock pile, years ago now - gorgeous but you pay about £2 a pack now

    Thoughts with you Sal.
Im a board guide on Pie Making Moneysaving. I'm a volunteer to help the pie production & consumption run smoothly. I can help merge tastes and fillings. Any pies made are mine & are not those of other Moneysavingexperts. Im a board guide not a qualified baker and as such do not make every type of pie. If you spot a quiche or flan please report it.
