So water company came - no clean water leak.

But they can't investigate if its a wastewater leak, have to raise a separate job with a different team for that.

Why didn't they tell me that on the phone as it was waste water leak I suspected.

When I queried why operator hadn't been more specific if its two different teams I was told the original operator was only clean water trained

    Afternoon all

It looks like the supermarkets have put petrol prices up. The RAC were saying the prices could increase by 4p per litre due to Hurricane Harvey, although the AA didn't agree. I saw someone saying today's petrol was bought at wholesale prices ten weeks ago however so the prices shouldn't rise yet. The prices have not gone up by 4p. Instead, are they cynically increasing by 1p every other week over the next ten weeks? If there had been an increase of 4p, people would have noticed it but they don't seem to notice tiny changes of 1p every other week even if, in the end, they end up paying the same.

Good afternoon all, this may be old news but just thought I'd pass it along.....Was in Mr T's today with my mum and we were discussing the new whipped Muller Light £2.79 for 4 or 2 packs for £4 My mum is not a lover of yoghurt but thinks she may stomach the whipped one as they are only 1 syn on SWand should be like a mousse. I said it's a lot to pay if she doesn't like them. With that the SA overhearing our conversation said that we are more than welcome to try one if we had a spoon on us She said that a customer could ask to try anything in store and if they didn't like it Mr T's would take the hit, obviously if they did - they would buy the multipack they'd tried. Anyone tested this out?

We'd just assumed they were the little sample boxes with 5 chocs in - was it shopimums list they were free on a couple of Christmasses ago?
    £6 each - what a fab freebie
(and in the excitement both of us forgot to get the free drink can )

Also managed to get the free (from shopimum) Hipp vegetable jars in Boots today - these are 90p each so get a Boots magazine to go with them or they wont scan your Boots card. Or painkillers to take your total over £1
(I think its 10 points per £1 in Boots this weekend but I might have made this up)
The hipp jars are for the food bank collection.

I also went to Body Shop for the free face masks but it was too small a store to stock them

In Poundland I found the crunchy Nature Valley bars in 2 flavours - coconut and hazelnut. OH has these for his lunchpack and usually these are a minimum of £1.17 so usually we get the Aldi version for £1 or thereabouts.

Also I did a return in Marks and had a look at the meal deals but resisted

And that was about it - Ive got Greegs freebies but those can wait until another day.

knackered now and having beans on toast for dinner much later

Well the saga with the stewed steak is ongoing. Went to get my c&c and had already been informed by email that they had 3 of the correct tins of stewed steak and 7 of the other (subs). So the lady asks me if that is ok. I said where are they. Oh I must have left them behind says she. So off she trots back into the shop and eventually after what seemed like ages, comes back with a carrier bag of tins and said are these ok. They were princes beef stew. I said ok but when I got home realised she only gave me 8 instead of 10. And now I cant find the syns to these princes beef stew.
