    Good morning all....

Bit to catch up on as I seem to have a heavy cold and cough at the moment and the weekend was spent doing little other than a couple of runs to S in both cars for petrol.

    I managed.....1 x2000 3 x1000 1 x500 and 6 x200 although 4 of the 200's were wombled.....
I can't believe how many people just discard their receipt and any coupons just outside the petrol station door it almost became easy pickings!

I've updated frugal totals and don't think I need to buy much this week other than the very small cheap thing in S to get the points vouchers exchanged.

One of the things I did get over the weekend were the free Chicago town pizzas.....oh my they are horrid and just disintegrated during cooking.....so OH decided to fire off an pic and an email to them last night...they certainly didn't resemble the picture on the box.....we shall see what comes of it.

Toiletries have been another slightly bland week....1 in...a perfume sample and the 1 out a full sized bubble bath.

Off to read back over the weekend and wish everyone a lovely week.

On the subject of Chicago town pizza I was a bit annoyed that errant son consumed ours on Friday - I was hoping to do a taste test on it.
This was in preference to eating the 2 home made pizza in the freezer - such an insult

Mind you it sounds like its a good thing he did eat the Chicago town pizza saving us the misery.

That is all he had to eat on Friday evening.

Last night we did an early sausage and mash dinner as Errant son was back early but going out again for an hour before heading back to work later on.
    Sausage and mash was consumed.
Then he was due to go back to his 2nd job at the hotel at 9 to finish up but about 8 he got hungry and went back to work to have a second dinner before starting his shift

They are very similar to A own brand which I get the same problem with so I dont think I will get them again...although taste wise they were better than the ristorante freebies of a few years ago if you can overlook the fact that you couldnt slice them.

MHOC...I read you may have been to a reclamation yard over the weekend....I love those places!

I can literally spend hours there and always have been able to. It's an art form I inherited from my mum who loved nothing more than an old junk shop as they were back in the day!

I collect old fireplace tiles and they are getting increasingly difficult to source these days and spend many a happy hour in these places whenever I come across one on our travels.

    Good morning.
Well Froctober isn't going too well we're running out of everything! Yesterday we needed Pepsi and the best buy I've found is 8x2l for £7 @ Iceland warehouse so that was yesterday's spend on Saturday we needed bacon and I buy a 4lb pack from the local butcher for £7.99 so another big spend but that will last us weeks.
Today dh is collecting a c nc from As on his way home from work using mainly apgs which should cost £5ish but should stock us up for the rest of October so I'm hoping my spend will still come in under £50.
Work today for me as I'm at the hospital tomorrow with a very quick catch up with FC en route, have a good day everyone.

All along the walls were huge slices and planks of wood with the names of the trees and they would cut pieces to size for you depending on what was needed - flooring, doors furniture etc.
Also you could view the workshop where the cutting and sawing goes on and a workshop of furniture people have made from reclaimed wood.

And then we went to a place called The Vintage Emporium - dozens of little junk shop units with virtually everything stocked.

    Very interesting morning out

If anyone has the just milk lactose free vouchers.....and you can find the product in S check the best before dates on the bottles.
    Mine we something like 27/9/17.

S refunded the purchase no problem but could tell via the barcode on the receipt how I had "paid" for it....and they deducted the 1 N point....so this might be something to be aware of when returning any ill fitting clothes that may have been purchased over the weekend....I think their till systems may have been improved since the last swipe and win and now takes into account any promotional points offers when returning things like clothes.

I have been a lurker on this thread for ever, but felt I had to contribute to this post.

On the recommendation of a good friend, I collected some conkers. I have placed them on window ledges. Well, since then, we've had about 6 spiders, so large that my husband struggles to get them in the spider catcher!

    What am I going wrong?

    Happy Birth Day hopefully

I'm trying to start up a painted stones thingy, that you hide around the area & people find & post their find & then re hide...

Got my stones painted, I just need a good short name for it.

Conkers after that needed to be kept well away from her.

Mind you we have an odd cat...the latest toy she has is a small lion cub ...no idea who it belongs to but it's being hauled around the house and is currently sat on the floor by my side of the bed.
I guess it must be another of her finds from local houses but I just dont really know how to stop it....I just have visions of there being some small child locally who is now missing their lion....it's clearly quite new as it still has the tag attached so I don't think its something that would have reached cherished status to whoever it belongs to.
I have to just wait for her to lose interest in it...or replace it with something else and then I'll pop it on our front wall and see if someone reclaims it locally.
