    Afternoon

Well our 9 fuel shops yielded 1*2000,1*500, and 7*200 DH has a van

    3 shops yielded 1*5000 and 2*200
Total 9300 so very happy with that + a 200 point womble by DH

My 5000 was from a first class biscuit shop Someone else got that too So fuel aside and after cash back and removal of gifts, ie Halloween sweets for work and some toiletries I spent about £10 on store cupboard stuff

I have quickly tided up 2 freezers , sorted out the weeks menus
and going to Asda to see if TM was right as sainsburys was much busier than normal
October Target spend £100 for month for 2 plus visiting family

    Excludes cleaning and toiletries(none required)

    Includes net cost of glitches
    Week 1 £12.50 Week 2 £32.48 Week 3 £28.60

    Cheeryhose
Shopmymum has 2 types of 440g Cheeryhose at £1 off.

Morries is £1.43, rather than risk it for a PAG, I went to morries, only cinemononon flavours, both £1.43. receipt only states cheeryhose for cinemononon, net cost 43p.

    cinemononon barcode 5900020030115

Bought some Mackies crisps, big bag sweet chili, was labelled £1, just chacked receipt and charged and compared at £1.75 too much fuel to go back. A muggle mistake or what?
Worth £2 gift card for and Scots going shopping tonight.

Hi mhoc, yes we're used to her being away now but of course uni holidays were longer than she will have when working so she will not be coming home as often. I can always go down there more

Her GF is moving down with her and they have managed to find a small 2 bedroomed house to rent where GF can also take her dog but OMG the prices are as you well know. Their tenancy begins on 18th October. GF is giving up her job to move down but she is a chef so she should easily be able to find something and is considering new opportunities and is thinking of applying to the Prison Service At least we will have somewhere to stay when we visit now as opposed to Travelodge/Premier Inn.

I dont think the prisons let you stop there when you are visiting, even if you do know the chef

This is strange - there was a glitch this afternoon but only for colleague discount card users. I have a receipt, with a discount on it, but the A prices have appeared on the APG with no discount taken off. So, it has given a £2 voucher against T. I have printed the voucher off straight away in case it later decides to change.

Soreen Fruity Five is not comparing against M:
    2x Soreen 5 Fruity Loaf (190g) £1.78 N/A

50p each in M. The product might only have appeared in M last week and not yet reached the APG or might not have made it to the collection stores yet or may have been completely nabbed by the shoppers in M and be complete no trace in all the APG stores by the time the collectors arrive.

Medium Food Bags comparing against Small in M, but it doesn't matter as A is exactly 10% cheaper when taking full A price and doesn't matter anyway as T was the best overall comp.

This was good for me but A still nearly £3 cheaper even after this, when 10% staff discount not accounted for:

    Avs T
    2x Lenor Fabric Conditioner Ocean Escape 72 Washes (1.8lt) £8.00 £5.00

They paid £3.60 each for them in effect.

I had another one earlier - their shop was really bad. They bought 1L Baileys Original at £17 in A. It is £5 cheaper in S at the moment. But, even with that £5 difference, plus 50p, they still managed to buy so badly as to lose the comp. vs S and voucher for not 10% cheaper than M. M £15. Even then A was still cheaper than M - cheaper than everywhere, just not 10%. They should never be cheaper, as there are far better items to buy on the APG and get more of the original spend back. Why buy a load of cheaper items that merely aren't 10% cheaper? Anything that is cheaper than that should be bought separately on a shop of fewer than 8 items as why buy and spend more than you need?

My last 3 item shop - voucher worked perfectly, no loose fruit anymore - I managed to buy all three items in a small supermarket. I had an item that was essential - expensive really but sold only by A - an item on which they are more than 10% cheaper than everywhere. I originally had a SP item that technically would have lost me 5p but it seems that A has discontinued it now. Fortunately they have the standard range item on the same price at the moment, as it's been rolled back, even though that claiming to be unavailable online - plenty of stock in my small A.

Switching to the standard range, on same price, would have cost you recently as more than 10% cheaper than comparables elsewhere. However, it has also dropped offline so doesn't count either, pointless really buying it on an APG shop as it's not going to do anything - it won't lose anymore as it's dropped off the comps. but also doesn't count as an item. So, there isn't any 10% available as SP item that wasn't 10% cheaper has dropped off too, so I have now lost nothing and standard range item wouldn't have been on comp. - moreover though, because it is standard range it is available in the small A and happens to have been rolled back to the same price as the SP version, not available there in the first place, is no longer available. A perfect shop of 3 items - I can't get any 10% on any of them anyway and cheaper in A.

EDIT: Actually the fabric conditioner, on wash numbers, 72 washes for £2.50 is quite a good 'normal offer' price. It looks like it is a bit lower than 'normal offer' on this according to msm's price graph (although I don't trust those often). It is slighly better on wash numbers than 85 for £3.00 - even though the Comfort 85 wash that used to go down to £3 is 3L not 1.8L.

My news that I can share with you all is that it is DD2's graduation on friday I don't think I mentioned that we heard that she had passed with a second a few weeks ago and will be starting with the East of England Ambulance Service as a Paramedic at the end of this month after having passed her C1 LGV driving test this week She will be based in Chelmsford but has another 2 or 3 months training with them before she goes out on the road but at least she will be getting paid

The graduation ceremony is at Chelmsford Cathederal and I have bought a new dress & jacket from Roman for the occasion. So far it is looking as if the weather is going to be kind to us with a dry day and approx 18/19 deg. forecast

Well, in the end I just did 2 x £10 petrol this weekend. Got 1 x 2000, 1 x 200 and wombled another 200 points. Plus another 140 for my 4 swipes, 2 of which were a single banana to get points added.

Mine didn't have the First Class variety so I didn't bother with a grocery shop.

Interesting chat with SA when adding points alongside banana purchase. He suggested that I 'saved the 200 points for another time' because in his experience, when you add points on with a purchase under £1 the machine won't print another voucher.

Well of course it won't, as you didn't spend £10, and you have to spend £10 to get a swipe and win.

We should start a collection of myths, I think.

Oh (surprised) these grapes comparing against M Savers:

    1x ASDA Farm Stores Seedless Grapes (500g) £1.25 £1.25
Whoops grapes may work out cheaper for us to buy though - although don't put these ones on vs M.

Fwiw, the plain 8 pack Brioche Rolls, and not just the Chocolate Chip ones, compare against M at £1 as well as T at the same price. However, Aldi allegedly has some Chocolate Chip ones at 85p and could well have some plain ones at that price too if the msm price collectors haven't picked it up, and whoops may again be cheaper than 85p.

SP Cheese & Broccoli Pasta & Sauce not comparing against anywhere - M does not have Broccoli in it.

    2x ASDA Smart Price Cheese & Broccoli Pasta & Sauce (110g) £0.44 N/A

SP Tomato & Onion Pasta & Sauce not comparing against M - 'should' be 22p (M is 100g).

    Compares against T anyway:
    1x ASDA Smart Price Tomato & Onion Pasta & Sauce (110g) £0.20 £0.20

SP Cooked Ham Slices (400g) do not compare against T:
1x ASDA Smart Price Cooked Ham Slices (400g) £1.49 N/A

They compare against S at £1.60:
1x ASDA Smart Price Cooked Ham Slices (400g) £1.49 £1.60

    They compare best against M:
1x ASDA Smart Price Cooked Ham Slices (400g) £1.49 £1.55

SP Chocolate Digestive bars compare best against S:
1x ASDA Smart Price Milk Chocolate Digestive Bars (20x19g) £1.33 £1.25

They compare against £1.33 at T and do compare against £1.33 at M even though I can't find any weight on the one in M. Perhaps I should loosen up my criteria slightly rather than thinking things might be more risky than they are.
