Dear me..If only I'd realized how supremely handsome I would become I wouldn't have bothered trying so hard with the ladies..

Also if anyone asks you to write a letter to your younger self when you get older, it's probably because they want to mine information from you.

You should feel flattered that someone thinks you're important enough to mine information from. So thank them and tell them you've turned into a cowboy and that they are welcome to join you for a cup of coffee to discuss the matter further.

    Yours sincerely me..x

    Dear me.

When you're older someone on the internet (it's like BBS but with real pictures instead of that Teletext rubbish) is going to ask you to write a letter to your younger self.

Don't bother because you'll get yourself stuck in a temporal loop where in 30 years time you'll have to write a letter to yourself when you were younger...

    D'OH!

    Dear Younger Self

Please ignore your stepdad when he tells you that you need to first let your skin go red in the sun and then it will go brown. He's a moron, and you will look like you've been near a leaky nuclear reactor for the next week or two. Not to mention the fact that it will hurt like hell.

Yes I know you're supposed to listen to your parents but maybe not in your case.

    Dear younger self,
decide to loose that weight now rather than in several decades time - you never know, you may learn to enjoy clothes shopping. (You know that thing 'choice'? If you enjoy it, ditch the biccies.) You can try sidesaddle classes sooner too.
Keep travelling! Stay somewhere long enough to get beyond "yes, no, please, thank you & excuse me" & vigorous sign language (dashed useful fundamentals though they are.)
Reassure your parents that just because you choose to live hundreds of miles away does not mean you do not still love them (or your sisters, ahem) and that some bonds are severed only by the grave. As they get older, your parents need to hear this reassurance. Make sure they put the hearing aids in as repeating it, exasperated, for the nineteenth time looses credibility.
And remember, all this will pass. Pay your rent on the planet & leave something for your children & grandchildren.
    From your much older self.

    Dear younger self.

Learn to say NO - it'll be much easier then when you're older.

Do NOT go to that Christmas party when you're 17...you'll regret it for the rest of your life.

PS..these two things are not connected..

    1. Always use good moisturiser on your neck so you don't end up with a wizened turkey neck before you even hit 60.

    2. Look after your teeth so you don't have to spend thousands in your 50's on cosmetic dentistry

You would have to tell my younger self that there's this kind of pretend world where you use a computer at home to write messages to other people, and some people trash these message facilities by writing daft or baiting things.

I would probably have looked a bit blankly at you.
