Migration to PIP from DLA query 19th May 17 at 2:28 PM
    Hi all,

I am currently ( through guardianship) dealing with the switch from DLA ( High/High) for my severely disabled daughter who has turned 16.

We received a letter today to say that the DWP now " have all the information they need to make a decision on our application".

We have not been for any face-to-face assessment. Does anyone know if this means that such an assessment will not be required (which I believe is extremely unusual) or is this letter a precursor to an invitation to an assessment ?

    Thanks in advance
    I don't know much, but I know I love you ....<3

That message is sent when they are ready to take a decision so yes it looks like a face to face assessment has not been required. It might take a while for that decision though despite the fact they have all the information they need. It's the message I got 2 days after face to face and 4 weeks before decision. All the best.
