you don't need sky, I have no tv in my home with 8 kids, we watch tv on the internet for free and there are loads of free sites you can try for a month such as Netflix, prime and now tv.
just watch it on your laptop or ever a phone if it has a large screen. Plus if you don't watch BBC or any other live TV you don't NEED to have a tv licence either.
Can you do away with the landline??
what phones do you both have?? could you sell the phones to buy yourselves out of the contract and make do with a cheap sim only contract for now?
contents is so cheap, mine is £6 a month but is totally worth it.
I hope this is helpful, I know when I pop up my SOA I always feel a bit !!!! after people point out what is a want rather than a need but it really does help to get constructive criticism.
Remember this to shall pass, its only temporary.

I fully appreciate that you're a bit snookered if you're in a contract - but ring them up and talk to them, they may be able to help. But really, these are luxuries that don't need to be paid for. If you're struggling, then standard Freeview is quite adequate. Heck, we only have FreeView, and still have arguments when there's a conflict of who wants to watch/record what !

These could all have something. Do you all get free dental care?
