Is there a limit to the sum that can be returned to a flexible ISA? 15th May 17 at 4:27 PM
I have PoA over my mother's savings and on 5 April I returned £6000 to her Nationwide Flexclusive ISA, then took it out (for the second time) to earn interest elsewhere. I then got them to transfer in the proceeds of her matured Nottingham BS regular ISA (£15,000+interest), which I have since withdrawn to graze on lusher pastures. She has an older Nottingham term ISA maturing at the end of the month, another £16,000. Can I also get this transferred in, then withdrawn like the others and still be allowed to return some £38K before 6.4.18 to retain the ISA protection?

The £50K example at the end of the MSE flexible ISAs article suggests no limit, and there doesn't seem to be any mention of a limit in the relevant sections (6.77 to 6.91) of the HMRC guidance for ISA managers....
