As the new head judge (Shirley Ballas) has been announced today I thought it was an opportune excuse to start the 2017 SCD thread!

That's awful, especially given how upset Chizzy was last week when she went. Hope they dock his fees.

Perhaps she could be called 'former ballet dancer'.

Oh, too many ringers this year! Ridiculous.

She spouts absolute rubbish when she says she's never done ballroom dancing - it doesn't matter whether she has or hasn't but, as a ballet dancer, she has a strong 'core' as Darcy like to say, elegant arms and graceful legs/feet. All that fuss over a high kick in week one - even is she is knocking 60 that's bread and butter to a ballerina.
    I can't stand the woman

Is it just me or is anybody else not 'feeling the vibe' this year? I don't know many of the supposed celebs and I can't get to grips with the new pro dancers. I feel out of my comfort zone!!!

    Quite.

My daughter is a dancer and now a qualified ISTD dance teacher and she says that ballet gives you the foundation for so many forms of dance.

I like the guy from Holby? (oh dear, already forgotten his name, Joe?), I love Susan, Jonnie, Simon, & Richard Coles but I think Simon and Richard may soon go.

I think Alexandra and Aston are really enjoyable to watch and I wonder who would win if they were ever in the bottom two.

I don't really like the celebs to be too good in the first couple of weeks - I like the 'journey' (that 'J' word ).

I read today that Debbie got into the Royal Ballet School at 16. That is fiercely competitive, as we know from Billy Elliott

. Proof that she's a damn good dancer - to say the least.

I also feel she's so 'false' - I mean, who has a hairdo like that anymore

    Evening folks
I have already eaten - deliberately missed breakfast and lunch so that I could eat jacket potato with cottage cheese/prawns and salad at 6.00p.m. - do I need to get out more?
