As the new head judge (Shirley Ballas) has been announced today I thought it was an opportune excuse to start the 2017 SCD thread!

Oh, dear. He had the potential to go further.

I’m rooting for Joe and Gemma now.

So how come Debbie is not in dance offs then? I don't know why people are so against Alex. They should make a rule that no one with previous dance experience can compete. I don't think it's fair to pick on Alex and not Debbie.

Poor Davood. Considering his improvement from day 1, he deserved to be in the final.

Gemma, Mollie or Joe to win.

I think because her dance experience is from longer ago and because she's an older lady it's not been held against her in quite the same way.

I suppose going out at this stage, the earlier leavers grab the best things to say so every speech from now on will sound clich!d. Sorry to see Davood go.

What a load of carp that was. Supposed to be the most improved dance over the night before, that was definitely Davood not Alex who made the same errors that Craig picked out in his pre dance comments. Is this to protect Debbie from competition?

Hmm well Davood improved in the dance off and Alex didn't..l would like to have seen at least one judge vote for him. Incredibly sweet speech, he seems a very nice man.

The judges seem determined that Debbie or Alexadra will win.

If they do they need to rethink the whole point of the show.

Remember last year all the comments peppered around Louise, by the judges and presenters, "oh everybody loves Louise."

Len a couple of years ago telling Kellie Bright "you should win" even after what appeared [to most] to be not much more than an average dance.

A trained ballet dancer and someone who has been choreographed previously by Craig aren't celebs who can't dance.
