I've been looking after someone who's feeling under the weather, and I've just found out that the little tomato plant I bought for my windowsill last weekend is a giant that grows to 2 metres tall. I'm going to have to donate it to somebody and get a smaller more suitable one.

Waiting for my dinner . . I ate too much at work today but now I'm feeling hungry! We've been trialling new recipes but i think I worked it all off rearranging the walk-in freezers. And laughing . . I had my boss in stitches this afternoon. Plus it was sunny - that always lifts my spirits!

I've been looking forward to The Last Kingdom all day - it's the only thing on telly that I've been watching - so I'm bathed and ready for bed, just poured a glass of wine and waiting for the pinger on my halogen oven to go off!

Life is . . not bad!

Hope the nice weather continues for the weekend and everyone gets to chill out and appreciate the little things in life.

    Thank you for asking Ceredigion!
Hell in a handcart either way.

Yesterday I decided to hack at the overgrown shrubs in the garden. It was only then that I could see an empty birds nest hidden inside the shrub.

I was hanging washing outside this morning and peeped at the nest to discover an egg had been laid.

This afternoon as I was bringing the washing in, I had another peep and spotted there are now 2 eggs in the nest.

I think Mrs Blackbird will keep laying eggs until there are 4 or 5 in the nest and then she'll sit on them. We'll hope for a little family of chicks soon.

Yes and no, but it was supposed to be a memorable day.

Help yourself to a slice of cake
Fred - Where's your get up and go?

Barney - It just got up and went.

Good evening, how was your Sunday?

Feeling quite pleased with myself now. I've just been playing Pointless, and got 2 pointless answers on the subject of Wimbledon.

(I know, I really should get out more.. )

That's a sensible thing to get pointless answers on. Mine was remembering some of the songs on my old Wombles album. Got 'SuperWomble' going through my head now.
