Switching Feed In Tariff Provider 20th Apr 17 at 1:11 PM
Our FIT payments are claimed via SSE since we had them installed in 2012. The payments take many weeks to arrive and the detail/paperwork and ease of contact is unreasonable and less than we enjoy from our current energy provider AVRO.

I'd like to switch FIT payment provider to a better company, does anyone have any recommendations? (of where to switch and how)

    Thank you

As you're probably aware, all things FIT are looked after by a specialist part of the company. If your payment doesn't come through in a timely manner, they'll be happy to help. Contact details are on our paperwork and website.

As I say, though, I don't know of any problems.

I bought a house with solar panels last year. It took quite a while to get SSE to transfer the FIT to my name, but once they'd finally done it I haven't had any further problems.

I submitted this quarter's reading online on 6th April, and the money was in my bank account by 17th April.

We are with EDF for FIT payments. They are very helpful & prompt with making the payments.

Usually, we get the payment straight into our bank account within a week of submitting the reading.

They also will pay an interim payment if your quarterly reading does not tie in with the change of FIT rates on 1st April. Submit a reading on 31st March/1st April and they don't have to estimate what the reading would have been.
